Your Role
As an Account Manager, you are the commercial driving force between Salty Seafood and our hospitality and retail customers in St. Maarten. You build strong, sustainable relationships and operate with a winner’s mindset: you see opportunities, seize them, and deliver, every single day. You are not a fast talker or a quick dealmaker, but a relationship builder with strong commercial instinct. You know your customers, their menus, their challenges, and the opportunities they may not yet see themselves. Through your reliability, initiative, and sense of ownership, you become their trusted partner, brand ambassador and growth specialist all in one.
Field
Managing relationships with existing hospitality and retail clients, from supermarkets, beach bars, Hotels to fine-dining restaurants
Advising on product assortment, menu optimization, food trends, and quality choices
Identifying commercial opportunities based on data insights and personal observations
Actively building and strengthening the Salty Seafood brand with customers
Acquiring new customers by building relationships, earning trust, and delivering value not through quick deals, but through sustainable partnerships
Handling complaints quickly and effectively in collaboration with the Inside Sales Officer
Office
Coordinating closely with colleagues like Inside Sales, Logistic Officer and the Branch Manager
Creating meeting reports, quotations, cooperation agreements and action plans
Preparing client visits and pro active sales initiatives based on data analysis
Managing sales administration, reporting, and account planning

Who You Are
You are a flexible, commercial, and results-driven Account Manager with a proactive mindset. You combine a customer-focused and coaching approach with hands-on execution: you build strong relationships, motivate colleagues when needed, and stay actively involved in customer contact. You are analytically strong and data-driven, effortlessly translating KPI dashboards and commercial insights into concrete actions. You communicate clearly, negotiate convincingly, and bring experience from FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) or foodservice sales preferably within hospitality or retail.

What We Expect From You
Top priority: achieving your sales targets
Full command of sales data to monitor and steer your performance
Translating data into concrete sales actions and reporting back to the Senior Sales Manager
Taking full responsibility for your customer portfolio and actively following up on opportunities
Ability to move quickly, think creatively, anticipate change, and act decisively in a dynamic seafood market, with a strong sense of ownership
Smart use of tools such as ChatGPT for emails, customer preparation, analyses, and reporting
Openness to feedback and personal development getting better every day
The ability to take the right sales action at the right moment
What You Bring
HBO or WO level of working and thinking, preferably in a commercial field
Experience in hospitality, food wholesale, or a commercial B2B role
Social, approachable, and professional and yes, a love for good fish is a plus!
The ability to spot and seize opportunities where others may miss them
Comfortable working with data: you use it as your compass and translate insights into action
Strong communication skills; a good listener who thinks along with entrepreneurs
Open to feedback; you enjoy the freedom of being out in the field, while working in a structured way in the office
